Our Sensei
Sensei Watanabe has been teaching Judo and Aikido in the United States for over 45 years. After graduating from Nihon University on a full 4-year Judo Scholarship, Sensei Watanabe was selected to come to the US to teach both Judo and Aikido, and became a pioneer in the teaching Tomiki-Ryu Aikido here in the United States.
Sensei Watanabe currently holds the rank of Hachidan (8th degree black belt) in Judo and Rokudan (6th degree black belt) in Tomiki-Ryu Aikido.
Sensei Watanabe has dedicated his life to Judo and Aikido here in the United States. Aside from the many champions he has developed over the years, he has also helped many others increase their self-confidence, improve their discipline and physical fitness level, relieve unimaginable stress, develop a more powerful spirit, and provided a more positive way for both adults and children to channel their energies.
