Practice Judo Hawaiian Style

Come on Saturday 22 September 2012 from 10am to 12pm and try something different - Judo Hawaiian Style. Clyde’s trip to Hawaii included sampling the local Judo techniques. Clyde assisted by Kiyoshi will demonstrate the techniques and styles they studied in Hawaii.

Hawaii’s proximity to Japan and the large Okinawan community which emerged on the Islands in the 1800’s helped to create a strong and vibrant Judo community. Hawaii boasts a High School Judo League and is part of many school’s athletic curriculum. Club Judo in Hawaii draws from this foundation. This is a great opportunity to experience judo from a different perspective.
